Jonah - Retelling the Story We Know in a New Way

Watching students retell the familiar story of Jonah in skits was extremely fun, and funny. Although, it is a familiar story the kids had to think a bit deeper about what was really happening.  Was the fish a place similar to "time out" where Jonah could reflect on his choices? Or was Jonah just lucky that fish came along and saved him from drowning? I think both maybe correct, and it's a nice reminder that even when we make bad choices God will give us grace to scoop us up and help us think about our mistakes.
